Clubhouse Android app under beta test, new improvements for iOS app announced

Clubhouse is finally beta testing its Android app with a select number of testers. In addition, Invitation Audio social media site has announced some changes and improvements in its iOS usage. Clubhouse was introduced as an iOS exclusive app in April 2020 and has been hugely popular ever since. It is now competing with Discord’s Stage Channel, Instagram Live Rooms, Reddit Doc, Telegram Voice Chats 2.0 and Twitter Spaces. Facebook and LinkedIn are releasing their own alternatives, and Mark Cuban’s FireSide audio chat and podcasting application is expected to launch soon.

Updates on the Clubhouse beta version for Android and its iOS app were announced in a press release. IOS users are notified of new announcements by app users. Clubhouse has not confirmed a release date for its Android app, but since it has released a beta version, a standard version of the app can be expected to launch soon. “We can’t wait to welcome more Android users to Clubhouse in the coming weeks,” the statement said.

For its iOS app, Clubhouse adds a line that notifies club hosts when new members are sticking to the room for a while. In addition, the application notifications are enhanced and recommended in use. Its voiceover access support has also been improved, allowing users to easily identify who is speaking by double-tapping on the screen or using the “magic plate” gesture.

Earlier, Clubhouse announced that it would be launching a monetization feature for its creators on stage and would not take a cut from it. Tapping the send option will allow the app to send money to the creators – feature enabled -. Discord Stage Channel, Instagram Live Rooms, Reddit Dog, Telegram Voice Chats 2.0 and Twitter spaces have already been launched as an alternative to the successful audio only social media platform.
