JioPages reaches Android TV to allow users to browse the web in 8 Indian languages

Telecommunications company Reliance Jio has launched Geo Pages, a web browser on Android TV. The latest update brings Geo Pages to Android TV based smart TVs. The web browser supports eight Indian languages ​​and includes features such as a dedicated videos section and a PDF reader to facilitate web browsing for smart TV users. Geo Pages comes with a news section to view popular news in any of the eight languages ​​that support smart TV viewers, and to download e-newspapers to read the news on the big screen. The Geo Pages browser is an update to the Geo Browser for Android mobile users, and is said to have more than 10 million downloads on the platform.

JioPages features for Android TV

Like any other web browser available for smart TVs, Geo Pages allows users to browse the web directly from their large screens. It comes with a dedicated search bar and voice search support for easy searching of online content. Users can bookmark their favorite sites or access their browsing history. It also allows you to check what is being downloaded on your smart TV through the built-in download manager. Additionally, the Geo Pages web browser has a QuickLinks section that allows you to quickly view popular sites from one screen.

Geo Pages offers an incognito mode – with default browsing mode to enable personal browsing. It also includes video sections with over 10,000 compiled content categorized into more than 20 categories such as music, movies, children and lifestyle. Additionally, there is regional content with the ability to customize the default news feed in the preferred language. Android TV users can download PDFs directly from the Geo Pages browser to read documents on their TV.

How To Download JioPages On Android TV

Go to Google Play and download JioPages on your Android TV based smart TV. This application is available under the title JioPagesTV to learn some differences in the mobile version of JioPages.

Prior to the latest release, Geo Pages were available for Android smartphone users. Geo also got the Geo set-top-box to bring a similar web browsing experience to its set-top-box users.
